Department of Economics

Jhargram Raj College started to offer courses in Economics since 1957 albeit as a pass subject. The college began offering honours courses in Economics since 1962 while it was affiliated to the Calcutta University. The college became affiliated to the Vidyasagar University since 1985. The Department of Economics presently offers both general and honours courses under the CBCS system.
